Curriculum Overview
A Comprehensive K-8 Program
At Central Baptist Academy, we believe that academic excellence and biblical faithfulness are not competing values — they complement each other. Our curriculum is designed to challenge students intellectually while grounding them in a Christian worldview that shapes how they understand every subject.
From phonics in kindergarten to pre-algebra in eighth grade, every course is taught by dedicated Christian educators who integrate Scripture and faith into their instruction naturally and authentically.
Core Subject Areas
Bible & Chapel — Daily Bible instruction and weekly chapel services form the spiritual backbone of a CBA education. Students study Scripture systematically, memorize key passages, and learn to apply God’s Word to their daily lives.
Language Arts — Reading, writing, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary instruction develops strong communicators. Students engage with quality literature and learn to express themselves clearly and persuasively.
Mathematics — From foundational number sense through pre-algebra, our math program builds logical thinking and problem-solving skills through a structured, sequential approach.
Science — Hands-on science instruction explores God’s creation through biology, earth science, and physical science. Upper-level students study chemistry and physics, building critical thinking skills as they observe, hypothesize, and discover.
Social Studies — History, geography, civics, and economics are taught through a providential lens, helping students understand God’s hand in human history and their role as informed citizens.
Enrichment — Art, music, physical education, and technology round out a well-balanced education that develops the whole child.

Our Approach
Small Class Sizes: With an average of 15 students per class, teachers can give individual attention and differentiate instruction to meet each student where they are.
Standards-Based: Our curriculum aligns with or exceeds Ohio state standards while integrating a biblical worldview throughout.
Assessment-Driven: Regular assessments help us track student progress and identify areas for additional support or enrichment.
Character-Integrated: Academic instruction is woven together with character development, teaching students not just what to learn but who to become.
