Spiritual Life
Growing in Faith Every Day
Faith at the Center
At Central Baptist Academy, spiritual development isn’t a program. It’s woven into the fabric of everything we do. From morning devotions to classroom instruction to playground conversations, our students are surrounded by adults who love God and are committed to helping children grow in their faith.
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”
— 2 Peter 3:18 (KJV)
Spiritual Life at CBA
Faith isn’t a subject at CBA. It’s the foundation of everything we do.
Weekly Chapel
CBA holds two Friday chapel services, one for K–4th grade and one for 5th–8th grade, so every message is age-appropriate. Each service includes a game, a Bible-centered message, and a clear presentation of the plan of salvation. Elementary chapel features upbeat worship music with motions to engage younger students, while Jr. High chapel includes a student-led worship team singing and playing instruments. Chapel is the heartbeat of CBA’s spiritual life.
Daily Bible Instruction
Every grade level receives structured, age-appropriate Bible teaching as a core part of the curriculum. Students study Scripture systematically and learn to apply it to their lives.
Scripture Memory
Students memorize key Bible passages throughout the year, hiding God’s Word in their hearts and building a foundation they’ll carry for life.
Prayer
Prayer is a natural part of every school day. Students pray together in class, at meals, before events, and for one another. Our teachers pray daily for their students.
Service & Missions
Students participate in community service projects, mission-focused activities, and giving campaigns that teach them to put their faith into action.
Character Education
Monthly character traits grounded in Scripture are taught, modeled, and celebrated school-wide, helping students develop Christ-like character.
Eagle Feathers
When teachers spot Christ-like character during the week, students earn an Eagle Feather, a written recognition slip celebrating their good choices. Feathers are drawn at chapel each Friday, turning everyday kindness into something the whole school celebrates.
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
— Matthew 22:37 (KJV)
