Option 1: Ohio SGO Tax Credit Donation
Turn Your Tax Dollars Into Student Scholarships
It costs you nothing — redirect taxes you already owe to CBA students.
Ohio’s Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) program lets you donate to student scholarships and receive a 100% dollar-for-dollar tax credit on your Ohio income tax return. This is not a deduction — it’s a direct credit that reduces your Ohio tax bill dollar for dollar.
- $750 per individual / $1,500 per married couple filing jointly
- Donate by April 15 and claim it on the prior year’s Ohio return
- Donate after April 15 and claim it on the current year’s return
- This is an ongoing annual program — not a one-time opportunity
- Scholarships fund K–12 students with priority to low-income families

Frequently Asked Questions
It’s a credit — not a deduction. A tax credit reduces your Ohio tax bill dollar for dollar (Line 7 of Ohio IT 1040). A $750 donation means $750 directly off your Ohio taxes.
No. You claim the credit on your Ohio state return. However, any donation amount that exceeds your Ohio tax liability may be deductible on your federal return. Consult your tax professional for details.
If you have no Ohio income tax liability, you would not benefit from the Ohio credit. However, your donation may still be deductible on your federal return as a charitable contribution. Consult your tax professional.
Yes. To claim the full $1,500 credit, couples filing jointly should either make two separate $750 donations (one per spouse) or make a single donation with both names listed on the form. A single donation in only one name caps the credit at $750.
Yes! You must designate Central Baptist Academy when you donate through the Every Child Every Family SGO. You cannot designate a specific student — scholarships are awarded with priority to low-income families (below 300% Federal Poverty Level).
Donations made by April 15 of any year can be claimed on the prior year’s Ohio return. Donations made after April 15 apply to the current tax year (filed the following spring). The program is year-round — you can donate at any time.
Option 2: Make a General Donation
Want to give directly to CBA outside of the SGO tax credit program? Use the form below to make a one-time or recurring gift. 100% of your donation goes to CBA through Zeffy — no platform fees.
Prefer to give another way? Mail a check to Central Baptist Academy, 7645 Winton Road, Building A, Cincinnati, OH 45224 or drop it off at the school office Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM– 3:00 PM.
