Ohio Will Pay Up to $6,166 Toward Your Child’s CBA Tuition.
Here’s How to Claim It — Before the Process Changes July 1st.
The EdChoice Scholarship is real money from the State of Ohio — up to $6,166 per year for grades K–8. Every Ohio family qualifies for some level of EdChoice support, regardless of where you live or what school district you’re in.
At CBA, most families pay as little as $300–$400 plus fees out of pocket after the scholarship is applied. And if you start before July 1, we handle the application process for you.
This summer, the process changes. Ohio is switching to a new digital system on July 1st. If you start now, Mrs. Loftis will walk you through the current process we know inside and out.

Scholarship Amounts for 2026–27
Who Qualifies?
Every Ohio family qualifies for some level of EdChoice support. You don’t need to be in a specific school district or live near a particular building. The EdChoice Expansion Scholarship is available to all Ohio students in grades K–8.
The scholarship amount is $6,166 per year for all K–8 students. With CBA tuition at $6,466–$6,566 depending on grade level, most families pay between $300–$400 in remaining tuition, plus registration and textbook fees. Families on EdChoice Expansion with household income below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level may qualify to have the tuition gap covered entirely.
